This rabbit polyclonal reagent recognizes Formyl Peptide Receptor 1 (FPR1), a seven-transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor that senses N-formylated peptides released by bacteria and damaged host mitochondria, directing neutrophil chemotaxis and shaping early innate immune responses.
Antibodies.com raised the antibody against a synthetic peptide surrounding the I207 residue and supplies it as an unconjugated stock at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, packaged as a 100 µl vial. The reagent detects mouse and rat orthologs in addition to human FPR1, supporting comparative work on leukocyte recruitment in rodent inflammation models alongside matching human tissue samples on the same blot.
Application is restricted to Western blot under reducing conditions, where the antibody binds the expected ~38 kDa receptor band, and the glycerol-containing buffer keeps aliquoted working stocks stable through routine freeze-thaw cycles.
