This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes FOXP4, a forkhead-box transcription factor expressed in neuronal, pulmonary, and lymphoid tissues. Antibodies.com raises the reagent in rabbits and supplies it as an unconjugated preparation, allowing laboratories to pair it with secondary detection chemistries of their own choosing. The 100 µl format supports a series of western blot and immunohistochemistry experiments on human samples and is intended for research use only.

FOXP4 (Forkhead Box P4) belongs to the FOXP subfamily of FOX proteins, which also includes FOXP1 and FOXP2. It is implicated in vocal learning circuitry and cortico-striatal development, and has been examined in tumor biology studies of non-small cell lung carcinoma, breast cancer, and prostate cancer, where altered FOXP4 expression has been linked to proliferation and migration phenotypes.

Validated applications include western blot for detection of FOXP4 protein in cell and tissue lysates, and immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections for spatial localization studies. The antibody is reactive with human FOXP4. Laboratories commonly use this reagent to map FOXP4 distribution in neural tissue, characterize its role in transcriptional regulation, or probe FOXP4-linked signaling in oncology models.

Storage is at -20°C in small working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve antibody activity. Each vial contains 100 µl of polyclonal antiserum, unconjugated and free of carrier proteins that could interfere with downstream assays.
