The Antibodies.com anti-FOXO1 polyclonal antibody is raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated 100 µl vial that supports several standard immunoassays.

FOXO1 (Forkhead box O1) is an approximately 70 kDa transcription factor of the forkhead family that integrates insulin, growth factor, and oxidative stress signals to govern glucose homeostasis, cell cycle arrest, apoptosis, and autophagy. Akt-mediated phosphorylation of conserved residues drives cytoplasmic sequestration of FOXO1, so antibody-based detection of total and phosphorylated protein is a routine readout in metabolic and signaling research.

This reagent has been validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence, giving researchers a single primary antibody for lysate immunoblotting, fixed-tissue staining, and subcellular localization work. Reactivity is reported against human, mouse, and rat samples, enabling consistent use across cell line experiments and rodent tissue models.

Common research uses include tracking FOXO1 abundance and phosphorylation in cancer cell lines under PI3K/AKT pathway manipulation, profiling hepatic and pancreatic tissue in metabolic disease models, and visualizing nuclear-to-cytoplasmic redistribution following stress or insulin stimulation. Store refrigerated and protect from light to maintain performance across repeated experiments.
