Anti-FOLR3 Antibody

Raised in rabbit and supplied by Antibodies.com, this unconjugated polyclonal reagent was generated against FOLR3, the secreted folate-binding protein also called FR-gamma that is released from cells rather than anchored to the membrane like the related FOLR1 and FOLR2 receptors. Validated for Western blot on lysates from human, mouse, and rat, the antibody enables cross-species comparison of folate receptor expression in hematopoietic lineages, renal tissue, and carcinoma cell models in which the chromosome 11q13 locus has been implicated. The product is supplied as a 100 µL vial at 1 mg/ml in PBS buffered with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, a cryoprotectant-rich vehicle that limits freeze-thaw damage during repeated Western blot campaigns. Investigators studying soluble folate-binding behavior, GWAS-linked renal function traits, and acute myeloid leukemia markers have used FOLR3-specific probes to distinguish the secreted FR-gamma isoform from membrane-tethered family members.
