This polyclonal reagent targets FMO3 (Flavin Containing Dimethylaniline Monoxygenase 3), a hepatic phase-I enzyme that catalyzes the NADPH-dependent oxidation of nitrogen-, sulfur-, and phosphorus-containing xenobiotics, including many therapeutic drugs and dietary amines. Loss-of-function variants in the FMO3 gene are the established cause of trimethylaminuria (fish-odor syndrome), and inter-individual variation in hepatic FMO3 activity contributes to variable patient responses to substrates such as cimetidine, ranitidine, clozapine, and nicotine, making it a frequent focus of drug metabolism, pharmacogenomics, and hepatotoxicology studies.

Format and handling: supplied as 50 µl of unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody in a single-use vial, validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications on human, mouse, and rat samples. Store at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles and protect from light; centrifuge the vial briefly before opening to recover the full volume. Intended for in vitro research use only.
