Filamin A (FLNA) is a large, ~281 kDa actin-crosslinking phosphoprotein that organizes cortical actin networks, anchors transmembrane receptors to the cytoskeleton, and supports mechanotransduction signaling. The rabbit monoclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com, assigned clone #A10865, was raised against a recombinant human FLNA immunogen and affinity purified before being supplied as a 50 µl aliquot in Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.3) with 0.02% Sodium Azide and 50% glycerol. Validated for Western blot (recommended dilution 1:500–1:2000), immunohistochemistry on fixed sections (1:50–1:100), and immunofluorescence (1:50–1:100), the unconjugated primary antibody pairs with HRP, fluorophore, or biotin secondaries chosen by the end user. Cross-reactivity has been confirmed across human, mouse, and rat orthologs, enabling comparative work in patient-derived cell lines, murine disease models, and rat tissue samples without re-optimizing conditions between systems. Researchers employ this reagent to map stress-fiber and focal-adhesion architecture, dissect integrin-mediated signaling, and characterize FLNA-associated X-linked disorders such as periventricular nodular heterotopia and otopalatodigital-spectrum skeletal dysplasias. The vial should be stored frozen at -20 °C in single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve IgG activity across extended projects.
