Filaggrin (Flg) is a filament-aggregating protein essential for the formation of the cornified cell envelope in mammalian epidermis, and loss-of-function variants in the gene are strongly linked to atopic dermatitis and ichthyosis vulgaris. This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against Flg and supplied as an unconjugated preparation in a 100 µl vial, ready to be titrated for Western blot, immunofluorescence, and ELISA workflows. The antibody cross-reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples, making it a useful single-lot reagent for comparative studies of epidermal differentiation, barrier function, and inflammatory skin disease models across rodent and human systems. Provided as a polyclonal antiserum, it offers broad epitope coverage, which can help when target availability is limited or when working with truncated or partially degraded filaggrin fragments in extracted keratinocyte lysates. Store refrigerated; aliquot on arrival to preserve activity and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
