Rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com raised against human FLAD1, the gene encoding FAD synthase (FMN adenylyltransferase), supplied as 200 µl of unconjugated antiserum. The antibody is validated for Western blot detection of endogenous FAD synthase in human cell and tissue lysates. FLAD1 catalyzes the final step of flavin adenine dinucleotide biosynthesis by converting FMN to FAD, a cofactor essential to mitochondrial electron transport chain complexes I and II as well as fatty acid β-oxidation. Researchers use this reagent to study flavin metabolism, oxidative phosphorylation, and loss-of-function variants linked to multiple acyl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency and other inborn errors of riboflavin handling. Polyclonal host species (Rabbit) and IgG isotype make it compatible with standard HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents for downstream immunoblotting workflows.
