This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets the FOXO1 transcription factor, also known as FKHR (Forkhead in rhabdomyosarcoma). FOXO1 functions as a key effector of insulin and AKT signaling, regulating genes involved in gluconeogenesis, apoptosis, cell cycle arrest, and oxidative stress response. Phosphorylation by AKT drives FOXO1 from the nucleus to the cytoplasm, a regulatory mechanism studied extensively in metabolic disease, cancer biology, and aging research.

Validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence, the reagent detects FOXO1 in Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, supporting comparative studies across model organisms and human tissue. The unconjugated IgG is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, packaged in a 100 µl vial.

The polyclonal format increases the likelihood of detecting the target across different experimental conditions, including analysis of phosphorylated FOXO1 species and isoform-specific bands. Laboratories studying insulin resistance, hepatic glucose output, lymphoma biology, or PI3K-AKT pathway inhibitors commonly employ anti-FOXO1 reagents to monitor transcription factor dynamics and downstream transcriptional programs.
