FKBP1A (also known as FKBP12) is a 12 kDa immunophilin that acts as the intracellular receptor for the immunosuppressants FK506 (tacrolimus) and rapamycin (sirolimus), and it is involved in calcium release channel modulation, TGF-β receptor signaling, and mTOR pathway regulation. The polyclonal antibody supplied by Antibodies.com was raised in rabbit against this target and is provided as a 100 µl aliquot at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, a buffer combination that allows storage at -20 °C with minimal freeze-thaw damage.

Validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human, mouse, and rat samples, this unconjugated primary antibody enables cross-species detection of endogenous FKBP1A in cell lysates, tissue homogenates, and fixed sections. Common research applications include studies of calcineurin-NFAT signaling in T-cell activation, rapamycin-sensitive mTORC1 complex assembly, calcium release through ryanodine receptors, and growth factor or cytokine receptor regulation in non-immune cell types.

Optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration for each application and sample type. The 50% glycerol content permits direct dilution into most aqueous assay buffers, simplifying integration into standard immunostaining and immunoblotting workflows.
