FIS1 (Mitochondrial Fission 1 Protein) is an outer-membrane adapter that recruits the dynamin-related GTPase DRP1 to sites of mitochondrial scission, and the same protein also contributes to peroxisomal biogenesis. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised against recombinant FIS1 and is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a 100 µl vial. The antibody has been validated for western blot, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies of mitochondrial dynamics, apoptosis, and mitophagy in cultured cells and fixed tissue sections. For short-term use, aliquot and store at -20 °C; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity, and protect from light during immunofluorescence staining. This polyclonal reagent is intended for research use only and is not approved for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
