This rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com targets human fibrinogen and is suited to western blot workflows. Supplied as 100 µg of lyophilised material in unconjugated form, it can be reconstituted in buffer and kept at -20 °C for long-term stability. Fibrinogen is a ~340 kDa plasma glycoprotein synthesised in the liver and cleaved by thrombin into fibrin during coagulation, so antibodies to it underpin haemostasis, thrombosis and cardiovascular research. The unconjugated format allows conjugation to HRP, biotin or a chosen fluorophore, supporting immunoblotting of plasma fractions, hepatic cell lysates and endothelial cell culture supernatants under reducing or non-reducing SDS-PAGE conditions. Polyclonal reactivity broadens recognition across multiple epitopes of the intact hexamer and its individual Aα, Bβ and γ chains, helpful when working with partially degraded fibrinogen or fibrin variants in plasma, wound exudates or purified preparations.
