Anti-FGFR2 Antibody

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antiserum specifically recognizes Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor 2 (FGFR2), a transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinase encoded by the FGFR2 gene. FGFR2 mediates signaling through FGF ligands to regulate cell proliferation, migration, and differentiation, and it plays essential roles in skeletal, craniofacial, and organ development. Dysregulated FGFR2 activity, through activating mutations or gene amplification, is implicated in gastric, breast, endometrial, and lung cancers, as well as in craniosynostosis syndromes such as Apert, Crouzon, and Pfeiffer.

Validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications, the antibody reacts with both human and mouse FGFR2, making it suitable for cross-species studies in tumor xenograft, knockout, and patient-derived tissue models. Researchers commonly apply it to detect total and phosphorylated receptor levels in cell lysates and tumor sections, to map FGFR2 expression across tissue microarrays, and to characterize downstream MAPK and PI3K signaling responses to FGF stimulation.
