Phosphorylation at tyrosine 766 of Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor 1 (FGFR1) is a key autophosphorylation event that recruits PLCγ1 and drives downstream RAS/MAPK and PI3K/AKT signaling cascades. This rabbit polyclonal antibody, supplied by Antibodies.com as a 100 µl unconjugated reagent, was raised against the FGFR1 (Ab-766) epitope and specifically recognizes the receptor when phosphorylated at this residue.

Researchers apply it in western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human samples to map FGFR1 activation status in cell-line models and in tumor tissue sections, including breast carcinoma and glioblastoma specimens where aberrant FGFR signaling is under investigation. The polyclonal format provides broader epitope coverage than a monoclonal reagent, which is an advantage when probing a single phosphorylation site in denatured lysates.

Storage at -20 °C in working aliquots preserves phospho-specific activity and limits antibody loss through repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The unconjugated format leaves detection chemistry open, allowing the end user to pair it with an HRP-, biotin-, or fluorescence-conjugated secondary antibody matched to their preferred western blot or immunohistochemistry protocol.
