The FGF5 protein (fibroblast growth factor 5) is a signaling molecule studied for its role in hair follicle cycling, neuronal differentiation, and certain oncogenic contexts. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com was raised against FGF5 and is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.3, ready for direct use in immunoblotting workflows.

Validated on Western blot against human, rat, and mouse samples, the reagent allows protein-level interrogation of FGF5 across the species most commonly used in dermatology and neuroscience research. Each vial contains 100 µl of antibody, sufficient for multiple membrane probing experiments. The PBS-based formulation supports standard membrane-based detection workflows including HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies and chemiluminescent readout.

For stability, the sodium azide preservative allows refrigerated storage without risk of microbial contamination; aliquoting on first use is recommended to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles that can degrade polyclonal preparations. Rabbit host origin makes this reagent compatible with mouse monoclonal antibodies in co-detection experiments, expanding its utility in multiplex signaling studies.

This primary antibody is intended for research use only, supporting studies that examine FGF5 signaling in normal physiology and disease models.
