The Antibodies.com Anti-FGF2 Antibody (HRP), clone KT49, is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 reagent directly conjugated to horseradish peroxidase for direct detection of human Fibroblast Growth Factor 2 (bFGF), eliminating the need for a secondary antibody. Supplied at 100 µg in liquid format, it is validated for ELISA-based quantification of FGF2 released into cell culture supernatants.

FGF2 is a heparin-binding growth factor implicated in angiogenesis, wound healing, stem cell maintenance, and tumor microenvironment remodeling. Detecting endogenous human bFGF supports studies in cancer biology, regenerative medicine, and vascular signaling research. The KT49 clone, raised in mouse and purified as IgG1, binds the native human protein and has been used to characterize paracrine FGF2 secretion by mesenchymal stromal cells.

For handling, the HRP conjugate should be refrigerated at 4 °C short term; for longer storage, aliquot into a vial and freeze at -20 °C protected from light, since repeated freeze-thaw cycles reduce enzymatic turnover. Intended for research use only.
