Anti-FGF19 Antibody

Polyclonal antibody raised in rabbit against human fibroblast growth factor 19 (FGF19), supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated reagent in a 100 µl vial. Formulated at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, the antibody is validated for western blot applications and recognizes FGF19 across human, mouse, and rat samples.

FGF19 is an endocrine-acting member of the atypical FGF hormone-like subfamily, secreted primarily from the ileal epithelium and signaling through the FGFR4–β-Klotho receptor complex in hepatocytes. Research applications include studies of bile acid homeostasis, hepatic glucose and lipid metabolism, liver regeneration, cholestasis, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and hepatocellular carcinoma signaling pathways. The polyclonal format enables recognition of multiple epitopes on the mature FGF19 peptide, supporting detection of full-length and partially processed forms in cell lysates and tissue extracts.

Store aliquots at -20 °C in single-use portions to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light. The PBS-based buffer formulation is compatible with standard SDS-PAGE workflows, PVDF or nitrocellulose membrane transfer, and chemiluminescent detection chemistries.
