Anti-FGF-23 (A181) Antibody

Offered through the Antibodies.com catalogue, this rabbit polyclonal reagent targets the C-terminal region of fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF-23), with the immunising peptide spanning amino acids 181–230 of the human protein (hence the A181 designation). The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by peptide-affinity chromatography and is supplied as a liquid in a 50 µl volume at 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline (pH ~7.2) containing 0.05% sodium azide. It is unconjugated and of the IgG isotype, and is validated for Western blot (recommended dilution 1:500–1:1000) and ELISA (recommended 1:10,000), with endogenous FGF-23 detected at an apparent molecular weight of approximately 27 kDa. The reagent reacts with human, mouse and rat samples, making it suitable for cross-species studies of phosphate and vitamin D metabolism. For routine handling, the vial is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted upon arrival and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
