Raised in rabbit against the FGD4 protein (also known as frabin), this unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets a Rho-family guanine nucleotide exchange factor that activates Cdc42 and helps organize the actin cytoskeleton. Because loss-of-function mutations in FGD4 cause Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 4H, an autosomal recessive demyelinating neuropathy, the reagent is widely used in research on peripheral nerve biology, Schwann cell differentiation, and cytoskeletal signaling pathways.

Validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence on human samples, the antibody supports detection of endogenous FGD4 in cell lysates, fixed tissue sections, and cultured cells. The polyclonal format provides recognition of multiple epitopes, which is useful when probing low-abundance targets or designing immunolabeling experiments where epitope masking is a concern. Each vial contains 100 µl of antiserum, suitable for routine immunodetection workflows without the need for an additional conjugation step.

Provided as a research-use-only primary antibody, the reagent fits standard immunostaining and immunoblotting protocols in laboratories studying Rho GTPase signaling, myelination, and the molecular basis of inherited neuropathies.
