Raised in rabbit against the FEN1 (Flap Endonuclease 1) target, this polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in PBS buffer containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. FEN1 is a structure-specific endonuclease that removes 5' overhanging flap intermediates during Okazaki fragment maturation in lagging-strand DNA replication and contributes to long-patch base excision repair, making it a useful marker in DNA replication, genome stability, and repair studies.

The unconjugated reagent is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry across human, mouse, and rat samples. For western blot, protein lysates can be resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to membranes, and probed with the antibody to detect endogenous FEN1 levels in proliferating cell lines, tumor-derived samples, and primary tissues. For immunohistochemistry, the antibody supports staining of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections to localize FEN1 expression in repair-proficient and replication-active compartments.

Store the vial at -20 °C, protected from light, and aliquot upon receipt to limit freeze-thaw cycles; the 50% glycerol formulation helps preserve activity during routine handling between uses. The polyclonal format broadens epitope coverage across the FEN1 protein, which is helpful when single-epitope reagents give weak or inconsistent signals. Sodium azide in the buffer provides microbial protection for the liquid format.
