The Anti-FCER1A Antibody (Biotin) [CRA2] from Antibodies.com is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 reagent that targets the α-chain of the human high-affinity IgE receptor (FcεRIα), an approximately 50 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on mast cells, basophils, and activated eosinophils. The biotinylated CRA2 clone recognizes an extracellular epitope on FcεRIα, allowing signal amplification with streptavidin-HRP or streptavidin-fluorophore conjugates in western blot, immunohistochemistry on frozen and paraffin-embedded sections, immunocytochemistry, and flow cytometry. Supplied at 50 µg in liquid format, the reagent is widely used to identify basophils in peripheral blood and to investigate mast cell and basophil activation in allergic inflammation, atopic dermatitis, chronic urticaria, and asthma research. Reactivity is human-specific with no significant cross-reactivity reported for mouse or rat FcεRIα under standard assay conditions. Store the vial at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer, protected from light, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity.
