The F-box and WD repeat domain containing 7 (FBXW7) protein is a well-characterized tumor suppressor that serves as the substrate-recognition component of the SCFFBXW7 E3 ubiquitin ligase complex. By directing the ubiquitin-dependent degradation of oncoproteins such as c-Myc, cyclin E, Notch, c-Jun, mTOR, and MCL1, FBXW7 controls cell cycle progression, proliferation, apoptosis, and differentiation. Loss-of-function mutations in FBXW7 are among the most common genetic alterations across multiple human cancers, making the protein a focal point in oncology research and a candidate biomarker for stratification studies.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody from Antibodies.com is supplied as a 200 µl volume and is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows. The reagent detects endogenous FBXW7 in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting cross-species investigation in cell line panels, xenograft tissues, and genetically engineered mouse models. In western blot applications, the antibody enables assessment of FBXW7 expression and isoform status; in IHC it is used to localize FBXW7 within tumor and matched normal tissue microarrays; and in IF it permits subcellular distribution studies that help clarify the cytoplasmic and nuclear roles of the protein in DNA damage response and signaling pathway analyses. Store refrigerated; protect from light; aliquot to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve reagent activity across multiple experiments.
