Used as a transcriptional readout in studies of skeletal muscle wasting, FBXO32 — also known as Atrogin-1 and MAFbx — is the substrate-recognition subunit of an SCF (Skp1–Cullin–F-box) E3 ubiquitin ligase complex that drives ubiquitin-proteasome-mediated protein breakdown in myofibers. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied in a 200 µl vial and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on mouse and rat samples. Polyclonal recognition of multiple epitopes supports reproducible detection of endogenous FBXO32 in tissue sections and in lysate-based immunoblots prepared from atrophying muscle. Researchers rely on this marker in models of disuse atrophy, denervation, glucocorticoid-induced catabolism, cancer cachexia, sepsis, and aging-related sarcopenia, where elevated FBXO32 expression is often interpreted alongside MuRF1/TRIM63 as confirmation of active proteasomal degradation. Because the antibody is unconjugated, it can be paired with HRP, biotin, or fluorescent secondary reagents of the user's choice, and works with in vitro cultured myotube lysates as well as in vivo muscle tissue. The vial is intended for research use only.
