Fibrillarin (FBL) is a ~34 kDa nucleolar methyltransferase that functions as a core component of the box C/D small nucleolar ribonucleoprotein complex, where it catalyzes 2'-O-methylation of ribosomal RNA during ribosome biogenesis. This conserved nucleolar protein is widely used as a marker for nucleolar structure in mammalian cell research and is the target of the rabbit polyclonal antibody offered by Antibodies.com.
This unconjugated IgG reagent was raised in rabbit and is validated for Western blot (WB) applications, with reactivity confirmed against human samples. Supplied as a 200 µl liquid volume, the polyclonal format allows recognition of multiple epitopes on the Fibrillarin target, which can be advantageous when probing samples prepared under different lysis or fixation conditions.
For storage, the antibody should be kept frozen at -20 °C and protected from light. Aliquoting upon first use is recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and brief centrifugation before use helps recover full volume from the vial. This reagent is intended for research use only.
