Raised in rabbit against the FASTK (Fas-activated serine/threonine kinase) target, this polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as a 50 µl vial of unconjugated primary antibody for protein-level studies in human, mouse, and rat samples.

FASTK is a multifunctional RNA-binding protein that localizes to mitochondrial RNA granules, the cytosol, and the nucleus. It controls MT-ND6 mRNA 3′-end maturation and stability, supports mitochondrial complex I activity, regulates alternative splicing of Fas and FGFR2 pre-mRNAs, and counteracts TIA-1-mediated translation repression in stress granules. The reagent is therefore useful for tracking mitochondrial RNA processing, apoptosis-related signaling, and T-cell activation biology.

Validated applications include western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence, so a single vial supports protein-level confirmation in lysates and spatial localization work in fixed tissue sections. The unconjugated format preserves flexibility to pair with HRP, biotin, or fluorophore-labeled secondaries depending on the assay.

For longevity, refrigerate the vial between uses, avoid unnecessary freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light to maintain reproducible titer across experimental runs.
