FAP-1 (also called PTPN13 or PTP-BAS) is a large non-receptor protein tyrosine phosphatase best known for its role in modulating Fas receptor signaling and cell survival. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against FAP-1 and validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human and mouse samples. Supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal antiserum, the antibody enables researchers to detect endogenous FAP-1 expression in tissue sections and lysates. Researchers commonly apply it to studies of apoptosis regulation, epithelial homeostasis, and tumor biology, where altered FAP-1 levels have been linked to cancer progression and resistance to Fas-mediated cell death. The reagent is unconjugated, allowing flexible pairing with HRP, biotin, or fluorophore-labeled secondary antibodies for chromogenic or fluorescence detection. Intended for research use only.
