The FAM160B2 protein, also referred to as FHIP1B in current literature, is a component of the FHF (FTS-Hook-FHIP) complex that participates in microtubule-based vesicle trafficking and has been implicated in cytoskeletal organization and directed cell migration. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised against FAM160B2 and is supplied as 50 µl of liquid in a vial, ready for direct use in standard immunodetection workflows.

Validated applications include Western blot (WB) for detection of the endogenous protein in lysates derived from human, mouse, and rat samples, as well as immunohistochemistry (IHC) on formalin-fixed tissue sections from the same species. The polyclonal format provides recognition of multiple epitopes across the target, which can be advantageous when probing proteins with limited immunogenic windows or when studying post-translationally modified forms of FAM160B2 in different subcellular compartments.

Research groups investigating cargo adaptor function at the Hook-FHIP interface, retrograde endosomal sorting, and the molecular machinery linking Golgi-derived vesicles to the microtubule network have used antibodies of this type to probe FHF complex assembly and to compare FAM160B2 distribution across cultured cell lines and tissue types. For storage, the reagent should be kept frozen at -20°C in single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protected from light during handling to preserve antibody activity over multiple experiments.
