Anti-FAK Antibody

Polyclonal rabbit reagent from Antibodies.com raised against Focal Adhesion Kinase (FAK, gene PTK2), the ~125 kDa non-receptor tyrosine kinase that localizes to focal adhesions and couples integrin engagement to cytoskeletal remodeling, cell migration, and survival signaling. The unconjugated antibody is supplied in a 100 µl vial and has been validated for western blot detection of endogenous FAK expression, immunohistochemistry on fixed tissue sections, immunofluorescence imaging of focal adhesion complexes in cultured cells, and ELISA-based quantification. Cross-reactivity to human, mouse, and rat samples supports comparative work in cancer cell lines, tumor xenograft models, and matched normal tissue, where aberrant FAK activity drives invasion and metastasis. The unconjugated format allows flexible secondary labeling with fluorophores or horseradish peroxidase for tailored detection chemistries.
