Focal Adhesion Kinase (FAK), also called PTK2, is a ~125 kDa non-receptor protein tyrosine kinase that localizes to focal adhesion complexes and couples integrin engagement to downstream signaling cascades controlling cell adhesion, migration, proliferation, and survival.

This Antibodies.com reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against FAK, supplied as 100 µL of unconjugated antisera. The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes across the target protein, which can be useful when a single monoclonal clone fails to detect a particular splice variant, post-translational modification, or processed form.

Validated applications include Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF), and ELISA, and reactivity has been confirmed against human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting cross-species studies in cell biology, oncology, and tissue-based assays. As an unconjugated reagent, the antibody can be paired with a secondary detection reagent of the researcher's choice for fluorescent, enzymatic, or chromogenic readout depending on the platform.

For long-term storage, the antibody should be kept frozen in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve titer.
