Focal Adhesion Kinase (FAK) is a non-receptor cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase encoded by the PTK2 gene, localizing to focal adhesions where it integrates integrin- and growth-factor-driven signaling that governs cell adhesion, spreading, motility, and survival.
Antibodies.com supplies this recombinant rabbit monoclonal reagent as 100 µl aliquoted in a vial of TBS (pH 7.4) buffer containing 1% BSA, 40% glycerol, and 0.05% sodium azide as preservative, with the antibody left unconjugated for flexible downstream detection workflows.
The antibody is validated for Western blot, immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry against human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting research on focal adhesion biology, cytoskeletal remodeling, cancer cell invasion, integrin signaling, and mechanotransduction.
