Focal Adhesion Kinase (FAK), also known as protein tyrosine kinase 2 (PTK2), is a 125 kDa non-receptor cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase that localizes to focal adhesions and links integrin signaling to cytoskeletal remodeling, cell migration, proliferation, and survival. This Antibodies.com reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against FAK and validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples. The unconjugated preparation is supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, making it suitable as a primary detection reagent for studies of adhesion-dependent signaling, mechanotransduction, and tumor cell invasion in fixed or lysed specimens.
