Anti-FAK (Ab-925) Antibody

Offered under the Antibodies.com brand, this rabbit polyclonal affinity-purified reagent is raised against focal adhesion kinase (FAK) and targets the region surrounding tyrosine 925. The immunogen corresponds to a synthetic peptide sequence around amino acids 923–927 (K-V-Y-E-N) of human FAK, and the antibody recognizes the endogenous total FAK protein rather than a phosphorylated form alone. Supplied at 1.0 mg/mL in a 50 µL volume, the preparation is unconjugated and formulated in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺) at pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol. Purification is carried out by affinity chromatography on an epitope-specific peptide column following immunization of rabbits with KLH-conjugated peptide. The reagent is validated for Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (WB, IHC, ICC/IF) and reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples. Recommended working dilutions are typically 1:500–1:1000 for WB, 1:50–1:100 for IHC, and 1:100–1:200 for IF/ICC on cultured cells. The product is shipped at 4 °C; on receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
