Anti-FAK (Ab-861) Antibody

Supplied through the Antibodies.com catalogue, this affinity-purified reagent is a Rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against Focal Adhesion Kinase (FAK), raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues 859–863 (H-I-Y-Q-P) of the human FAK sequence. The immunogen was conjugated to KLH, and the resulting antiserum was purified by epitope-specific affinity chromatography to enrich for antibodies recognising the Ab-861 site. The product is provided at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL in a 50 µL volume, formulated in phosphate-buffered saline at pH 7.4 (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. It is unconjugated and is intended to detect the endogenous level of total FAK protein in human samples. Validated applications include Western blotting (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC), with recommended working dilutions of 1:500–1:1000 for WB and 1:50–1:100 for IHC. The predicted molecular weight of the target is approximately 125 kDa. The reagent is shipped at 4°C on cool pack and should be aliquoted upon arrival and stored at –20°C; repeated freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided to preserve antibody integrity.
