Fumarylacetoacetate hydrolase (FAH) is the terminal enzyme in the tyrosine catabolism pathway, hydrolyzing fumarylacetoacetate into fumarate and acetoacetate. This unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit against human FAH and is supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot, with validated use in western blot and immunofluorescence applications. Researchers investigating hereditary tyrosinemia type I, hepatocyte injury, and hepatocellular carcinoma routinely probe FAH expression to characterize metabolic liver disease and to monitor gene-therapy rescue in relevant models. The polyclonal format increases the probability of recognizing multiple epitopes on the ~46 kDa target protein, and the unconjugated preparation gives users flexibility to pair the reagent with a secondary antibody and a fluorescence or chemiluminescence detection system of their choice. For best results, store refrigerated in working aliquots to minimize freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity across experiments.
