Anti-FAH Antibody

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com detects fumarylacetoacetate hydrolase (FAH), the terminal enzyme in tyrosine catabolism that cleaves fumarylacetoacetate into fumarate and acetoacetate. Supplied as 100 µl of liquid IgG, it recognizes the approximately 46 kDa FAH protein in human, mouse, and rat samples.

The unconjugated format fits chemiluminescent Western blot workflows when paired with an appropriate HRP-conjugated secondary reagent. It is useful for probing liver lysates, comparing endogenous FAH expression across tissues, investigating metabolic disease mechanisms, and checking CRISPR-mediated FAH knockout cell lines. FAH loss-of-function mutations are associated with hereditary tyrosinemia type I, making this reagent relevant to studies of disease-associated metabolic pathways.
