Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified against the human Fas-Associated protein with Death Domain (FADD), this polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com targets a 23 kDa adaptor molecule that bridges death receptors of the TNF receptor superfamily (Fas/CD95, TRAIL-R1/R2, TNF-R1) with caspase-8 at the Death-Inducing Signaling Complex (DISC) to drive extrinsic apoptosis. FADD also participates in non-apoptotic NF-κB signaling and controls T-cell proliferation, placing it at a widely studied intersection of immunity and oncology research.

The reagent is supplied as an unconjugated IgG in a 200 µl vial and is validated for Western blot detection of endogenous FADD in human cell and tissue lysates. Because FADD abundance and post-translational modification shift with apoptosis engagement, the antibody is a functional readout for death-receptor pathway activation across cancer cell line models responding to TRAIL or Fas ligand, T-cell activation and peripheral deletion studies, ischemic and neurodegenerative injury paradigms, and viral-infection work where death-receptor signaling shapes host-cell fate.

On Western blot, the antibody recognizes the expected band near 23 kDa after SDS-PAGE separation and transfer to nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes, with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies providing flexible detection. Aliquot on arrival, refrigerate for short-term use, and freeze for longer-term storage; protect from light and limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve IgG activity. This unconjugated rabbit IgG is also compatible with downstream immunoprecipitation workflows. For research use only — not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
