FADD (Fas-Associated Death Domain protein) is a 23 kDa cytoplasmic adaptor that bridges death receptors of the TNF receptor superfamily with caspase-8 at the death-inducing signaling complex (DISC). Polyclonal antibodies raised against FADD support researchers dissecting extrinsic apoptosis pathways in disease models ranging from oncology to neurodegeneration.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µl of liquid antiserum, validated for Western blot detection of endogenous human FADD, immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed tissue sections, and ELISA-based quantitation. Because FADD is recruited to activated Fas/CD95, TRAIL-R, and TNFR1 shortly after ligand engagement, the reagent is commonly used to monitor DISC assembly kinetics, caspase-8 co-immunoprecipitation, and shifts in FADD phosphorylation status following genotoxic or inflammatory challenge.

Published uses include tracking FADD upregulation in chemoresistant tumor lines, mapping expression in lymphoid germinal centers, and characterizing loss-of-function phenotypes in human tumor xenografts. Storage recommendation is short-term at 4 °C with aliquoting to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles; long-term storage at -20 °C or below is advised for the affinity-purified fraction. The product is packaged in a single vial and is intended for research use only. Host species is rabbit, clonality is polyclonal, the conjugate is unconjugated, and reactivity is restricted to human FADD in validated assays.
