Factor VII is a vitamin K-dependent serine protease that initiates the extrinsic pathway of blood coagulation by binding tissue factor at sites of vascular injury, then activating Factor X to drive thrombin generation and fibrin deposition. This unconjugated Rabbit polyclonal reagent recognizes endogenous Factor VII protein and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on Human and Mouse samples. The 100 µl size supports multiple membrane probing cycles and slide-staining runs, while the unconjugated format lets users pair it with HRP-, biotin-, or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies matched to their preferred detection chemistry. Typical research applications include mapping expression across hepatic tissue, characterizing Factor VII deficiency models, profiling coagulation factor changes in sepsis or cancer-associated coagulopathy, and monitoring responses in vitamin K metabolism studies. Because Factor VII has a short plasma half-life, the antibody is also useful as a sensitive marker of hepatic synthetic function in liver-injury models. Aliquot on arrival and store frozen; limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity. Each lot is supplied by Antibodies.com as a primary antibody for research use only.
