A mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody (clone F9-1) targeting human Factor IX, supplied by Antibodies.com as a lyophilised 100 µg preparation for use in ELISA workflows. Factor IX is a vitamin K-dependent serine protease that circulates in plasma as a zymogen and is activated to Factor IXa during the intrinsic coagulation cascade, where it partners with Factor VIIIa to convert Factor X to Factor Xa. Defects in the F9 gene cause hemophilia B, an X-linked bleeding disorder, which is why immunological detection of Factor IX is relevant in research on coagulation, thrombophilia, and recombinant factor replacement therapy. The unconjugated format allows researchers to couple the antibody to their own labels, and the lyophilised product form supports stable refrigerated storage with extended shelf life. Because it is a monoclonal antibody of mouse origin, this reagent offers single-epitope specificity against human Factor IX, helping reduce background that can arise with polyclonal preparations. The reagent is intended for research use only and should be reconstituted according to standard laboratory protocols before application in immunoassays.
