Anti-FABP4 Antibody

This polyclonal reagent targets Fatty Acid-Binding Protein 4 (FABP4), an intracellular lipid chaperone of approximately 15 kDa that is abundantly expressed in adipocytes and activated macrophages. It plays a central role in fatty acid uptake, intracellular lipid transport, and the regulation of metabolic and inflammatory signaling, which is why it is widely studied in research on obesity, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, and atherosclerotic plaque biology. The antibody is raised in rabbit and supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. It is validated for Western blot application on human and rat samples.
