FABP1 (fatty acid binding protein 1, also called L-FABP) is a small cytoplasmic protein of roughly 14 kDa that is abundantly expressed in hepatocytes, where it binds long-chain fatty acids and shuttles them between intracellular compartments. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com detects endogenous FABP1 in human, mouse, and rat samples and has been validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows.

Supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal antisera raised in rabbit against the L-FABP target, the antibody is widely used in hepatic lipid-handling studies, intestinal fatty acid transport research in enterocytes, and acute liver-injury biomarker work. Researchers commonly apply it to whole-cell liver lysates, paraffin-embedded tissue sections, and cultured hepatocyte models. For handling, refrigerate the vial on arrival to preserve titre; aliquot the antisera and freeze at -20 degrees C if longer-term storage is needed, since repeated freeze-thaw cycles reduce polyclonal antibody performance over time.
