Anti-FABP1 Antibody

Raised in rabbit against fatty acid binding protein 1 (L-FABP), this unconjugated polyclonal IgG from Antibodies.com recognises a small cytosolic carrier expressed predominantly in hepatocytes and, at lower levels, in renal proximal tubule epithelium. Because L-FABP shuttles long-chain fatty acids, bile acids, and several hydrophobic xenobiotics through the cytosol, the reagent is widely used in studies of hepatic lipid handling, steatosis and NASH models, and acute liver injury, where cytosolic release of the protein is being tracked as a biomarker.

Supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, the antibody is provided as a 100 µl aliquot and is validated for reactivity with human and rat samples. Western blot workflows on whole-cell or cytosolic fractions typically resolve the target as a ~14 kDa band, and the unconjugated format leaves downstream labelling chemistry (HRP, biotin, or fluorophore) open to the end user.
