Factor IX (F9) is a vitamin K-dependent serine protease central to the intrinsic blood coagulation pathway, where it activates Factor X within the membrane-bound tenase complex alongside Factor VIIIa. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against F9 and validated for Western blot detection in human, mouse, and rat samples. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml solution in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. For long-term stability, refrigerate the vial between uses; aliquoting upon first thaw is recommended to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Because the reagent is polyclonal, it recognizes multiple epitopes on the F9 target, supporting consistent band patterns across lysates prepared from liver tissue, plasma-derived sources, and cultured cell models relevant to hemostasis research, vitamin K-dependent post-translational modification, and hemophilia B pathogenesis studies.
