Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this Ezrin-targeting reagent is an affinity-purified rabbit polyclonal IgG supplied as a 50 µl liquid at a stock concentration of 1.0 mg/mL. It was raised against a synthesized peptide derived from human Ezrin and detects endogenous levels of total Ezrin protein in samples from human, mouse and rat origins, making it broadly useful for cross-species studies. The unconjugated preparation is formulated in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and is intended for research use only. The antibody is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows, and it is purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen to help minimize non-specific binding. For handling, the product is shipped at 4 °C; upon arrival, aliquots should be stored at –20 °C and protected from repeated freeze/thaw cycles to preserve activity. Researchers should be aware that the formulation contains sodium azide as a preservative, which is incompatible with some downstream applications and should be removed (for example by dialysis or buffer exchange) before live-cell or azide-sensitive assays. With its polyclonal nature and species coverage spanning human, mouse and rat, this Ezrin reagent is well suited to laboratories that need consistent detection across a panel of mammalian sample types in both immunoblotting and tissue-section staining experiments. As always with polyclonal preparations, batch-to-batch consistency is strong but not guaranteed, so titrations within the typical 1:500–1:1000 (WB) and 1:50–1:100 (IHC) ranges are recommended when establishing new protocols.
