EXOC2 (also known as Sec5) is a core subunit of the eight-protein exocyst complex that tethers post-Golgi secretory vesicles to the plasma membrane during exocytosis. Produced by Antibodies.com, this unconjugated IgG polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit and supplied as a 50 µl aliquot validated for western blot and immunofluorescence workflows. The antibody detects the EXOC2 protein in human, mouse, and rat samples, making it applicable to comparative studies of vesicle trafficking, insulin granule docking in pancreatic beta cells, GLUT4 translocation in adipocytes and muscle, neurite extension in differentiating neurons, and membrane addition during cytokinesis. Because the reagent is unconjugated, investigators can pair it with secondary antibodies or labels matched to their detection platform. Following storage at refrigerated temperatures and limiting freeze-thaw cycles will help preserve antigen-binding activity over the working life of the vial.
