EXOC2 (also known as Sec5) is a core subunit of the eight-protein exocyst complex that mediates tethering of secretory vesicles to the plasma membrane, a process central to polarized exocytosis, insulin granule release, neuronal synapse assembly, and primary cilium biogenesis. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against EXOC2 and validated for Western blot detection of the endogenous protein as well as immunofluorescence imaging of fixed cells, supporting research in cell biology, neurobiology, and cancer signaling where exocyst-mediated trafficking is implicated.

The antibody cross-reacts with EXOC2 from human, mouse, and rat origin, enabling comparative work across standard laboratory models. Supplied as 200 µl of unconjugated IgG in a single-use vial format, allowing researchers to conjugate to fluorophores, HRP, or biotin according to their own assay design. Aliquot upon arrival and store at -20°C in single-use portions to minimize freeze-thaw cycles and protect reagent integrity; protect from light prior to conjugation. Intended for research use only in standard in vitro applications.
