The EWSR1 protein (Ewing Sarcoma Breakpoint Region 1) is a multifunctional RNA-binding factor encoded on chromosome 22q12 and a founding member of the FET protein family. It participates in transcription, splicing regulation, and DNA damage response, and it becomes pathologically fused to partner transcription factors in a spectrum of translocation-driven sarcomas and small round-cell tumours. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and supplied as 100 µL of unconjugated IgG, validated on human and mouse preparations.

Recommended uses include western blotting and immunofluorescence imaging of cultured cells and tissue sections. Researchers apply the antibody to confirm EWSR1 expression in differentiation studies, to map sub-nuclear localisation under stress conditions, and to characterise cell lines engineered to model EWSR1-FLI1 or related fusion oncoproteins. The unconjugated format allows secondary labelling of choice for multicolor imaging and accommodates standard chromogenic or fluorogenic workflows.

For western blot, loading of 20–40 µg of whole-cell lysate resolves the ~68 kDa EWSR1 band cleanly, while immunofluorescence works well on paraformaldehyde-fixed cells permeabilised with non-ionic detergent. The polyclonal format provides multiple-epitope coverage, useful when probing truncated or fusion forms of the protein. Refrigerate the vial on arrival; aliquot to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity across long-term storage.
