Produced in rabbit as a polyclonal IgG reagent, this unconjugated primary antibody is raised against the EVA1A protein (also known as TMEM166) and supplied at 200 µl per vial for Western blot workflows. EVA1A is a small lysosome- and mitochondria-associated regulator of autophagy and programmed cell death, studied in mitophagy, neuronal differentiation, and tumor suppression contexts. Antibodies.com formulated the reagent to detect endogenous EVA1A in samples from human, mouse, and rat origins, providing cross-species coverage for comparative cell biology studies.

For Western blot, the antibody is typically applied to whole-cell lysates resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to a membrane, and detected under chemiluminescent conditions. As an unconjugated IgG preparation, it pairs with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary anti-rabbit reagents chosen by the user. The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes across the short human EVA1A protein, useful when probing samples where single-epitope reagents may struggle.

For handling, aliquot the stock upon first use and freeze at -20°C for long-term storage, protect from light, and limit freeze-thaw cycles. Short-term refrigerated storage is acceptable for active working aliquots. The reagent is intended for research use only and is used in laboratories investigating autophagy regulation, apoptosis pathways, mitochondrial turnover, or cancer biology questions connected to EVA1A signaling.
