This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against the Ets-1 transcription factor and specifically recognises the phosphorylated form at threonine 38 (phospho-T38). Supplied as 100 µl of antibody at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the unconjugated preparation is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples.

Ets-1 (ETS proto-oncoprotein 1) is a member of the ETS family of winged helix-turn-helix DNA-binding proteins and is regulated by Ras/MAPK signalling, where threonine 38 phosphorylation by ERK1/2 modulates its DNA-binding activity and transactivation potential. Detection of phospho-T38 therefore serves as a useful readout of pathway activation in studies of lymphoid differentiation, angiogenesis, immune cell signalling, and oncogenic transformation, and the cross-reactivity across the three listed species makes the antibody convenient for comparative model systems.

For storage, keep the vial at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, with the included 50% glycerol acting as a cryoprotectant. Sodium azide is present at 0.1% as a preservative and should be handled with appropriate care. The polyclonal format provides broader epitope coverage than a monoclonal reagent, which can be advantageous when monitoring a dynamic post-translational modification such as phosphorylation at a single residue.
