ETFDH (Electron Transfer Flavoprotein Dehydrogenase) anchors to the inner mitochondrial membrane and transfers electrons from electron-transfer flavoprotein (ETF) to ubiquinone, coupling fatty acid β-oxidation and branched-chain amino acid catabolism to the respiratory chain. Recessive mutations in the ETFDH gene cause Multiple Acyl-CoA Dehydrogenase Deficiency (MADD), also called Glutaric Aciduria Type II, and altered ETFDH expression has been reported in mitochondrial myopathy and certain cancer cell lines, making this protein a relevant target for metabolic, neuromuscular, and cell biology research.
Produced by Antibodies.com as a rabbit polyclonal reagent, this antibody is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on Human, Mouse, and Rat samples. The 100 µl vial is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% Sodium Azide and 50% glycerol, and the conjugate is unconjugated. For best results, store the antibody frozen, protect from light, and keep aliquots to minimise freeze-thaw cycles that can erode antigen-binding activity over time.
